A Time for Change and Hope

These words were President Obama's constant chorus throughout his campaign, and he continues to regurgitate them as his administration wears on. Well, Mr. President, I for one, AM hoping for Change and damned quick. I know, we have to wait until the next election, but that will be relatively soon, though relatively NOT SOON ENOUGH!!

This president constantly refers to the "the failed policies of the Bush Adminstration" as the cause of all the problems this nation now faces, even though the the King of Change and Hope has occupied the White House for two years. As the nation sinks deeper into Recession (we don't call it Depression, do we?), as our foreign policy crumbles, and as we bow ever further over to the demands of Muslims and illegal aliens in this nation, I become more and more certain this is not the "Change" we have "Hoped" for, Mr. Obama. I am also positive, Mr. Obama, that you cannot and will not deliver any hope to me. How can a Muslim, who has loudly proclaimed his disdain for America as we know it, POSSIBLY offer any acceptable Change or valid Hope to me, a PROUD AMERICAN?

As for change, the abuse of American tax dollars by the First Lady is a first, a most UNWANTED CHANGE. We learned after the fact that Mrs. Obama had traveled to Spain. There was nothing wrong with a First Lady ambasador trip. But, Mrs. Obama took SIXTY of her relatives with her. That is a first. Mrs. Obama's entourage rented seventy rooms at approximately $2500 per night PER ROOM. That is definitely another first. Is this the Great Obama Change and Hope in action?!

Did you know that after Mrs. Obama returned, the President and Mrs. Obama then took a vacation to Martha's Vineyard? At least she did not take the sixty relatives with her, as far as we have been told. If Hilary Clinton had taken the same Spanish vaction, there would have been a brief public uproar. God help us at the clamor and outrage if Laura Bush had even suggested such a trip!

The Army Special Forces soldiers have a most appropriate acronym: BOHICA. It simply means "Bend Over, Here It Comes Again." Sounds tailor-made for the times of the current administration. I wonder how many more times we (those who are not Obama-parrots and worshippers) must BOHICA before 2012.

I am not only angry at those who ignored all that was known about Obama and voted for him anyway; at the media that forced Obama on us because he was black, not because he was a good leader; at other people who wanted to be "big" and elect our first "black" president regardless of the harm that would befall this nation; but also at myself and others who did not do more to bring Obama's true (lack of) character into the limelight.

A terrible mistake was made in 2008, but in all honesty, the other choice was not a lot better, though much more palatable in retrospect. After all, McCain was NOT a conservative or middle of the road conservative, he was just this side of liberal democrat and we all knew that, too. Now, it falls on those of us who care to salvage the nation in 2012. We must have a candidate who is committed to America, a man who will not turn his back on the flag, and a man who will actually lead in times of crisis. Although I said "man," a qualified woman would fit the bill just as well. Race would not be a factor, but love for this nation of ours is a must.

Who can forget Mrs. Obama's infamous words, "NOW I am proud to be an American!" If Mrs. Obama was NOT proud to be an American BEFORE, WHAT IN GOD'S NAME WAS KEEPING HER IN THIS GREAT NATION all the years BEFORE 2008?!!

I hope all of you will join me in 2012, not necessarily voting for my candidate of choice, but being DAMN SURE we are voting for an AMERICAN, and not only that, but an American WHO IS ALREADY PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN. If a man or woman who seeks the office of PRESIDENT is NOT a PROUD AMERICAN, that let all other PROUD AMERICANS UNITE TO KEEP THAT TRAITOR OUT OF THE HIGHEST OFFICE IN THE LAND!
