A Time for Change and Hope

These words were President Obama's constant chorus throughout his campaign, and he continues to regurgitate them as his administration wears on. Well, Mr. President, I for one, AM hoping for Change and damned quick. I know, we have to wait until the next election, but that will be relatively soon, though relatively NOT SOON ENOUGH!!

This president constantly refers to the "the failed policies of the Bush Adminstration" as the cause of all the problems this nation now faces, even though the the King of Change and Hope has occupied the White House for two years. As the nation sinks deeper into Recession (we don't call it Depression, do we?), as our foreign policy crumbles, and as we bow ever further over to the demands of Muslims and illegal aliens in this nation, I become more and more certain this is not the "Change" we have "Hoped" for, Mr. Obama. I am also positive, Mr. Obama, that you cannot and will not deliver any hope to me. How can a Muslim, who has loudly proclaimed his disdain for America as we know it, POSSIBLY offer any acceptable Change or valid Hope to me, a PROUD AMERICAN?

As for change, the abuse of American tax dollars by the First Lady is a first, a most UNWANTED CHANGE. We learned after the fact that Mrs. Obama had traveled to Spain. There was nothing wrong with a First Lady ambasador trip. But, Mrs. Obama took SIXTY of her relatives with her. That is a first. Mrs. Obama's entourage rented seventy rooms at approximately $2500 per night PER ROOM. That is definitely another first. Is this the Great Obama Change and Hope in action?!

Did you know that after Mrs. Obama returned, the President and Mrs. Obama then took a vacation to Martha's Vineyard? At least she did not take the sixty relatives with her, as far as we have been told. If Hilary Clinton had taken the same Spanish vaction, there would have been a brief public uproar. God help us at the clamor and outrage if Laura Bush had even suggested such a trip!

The Army Special Forces soldiers have a most appropriate acronym: BOHICA. It simply means "Bend Over, Here It Comes Again." Sounds tailor-made for the times of the current administration. I wonder how many more times we (those who are not Obama-parrots and worshippers) must BOHICA before 2012.

I am not only angry at those who ignored all that was known about Obama and voted for him anyway; at the media that forced Obama on us because he was black, not because he was a good leader; at other people who wanted to be "big" and elect our first "black" president regardless of the harm that would befall this nation; but also at myself and others who did not do more to bring Obama's true (lack of) character into the limelight.

A terrible mistake was made in 2008, but in all honesty, the other choice was not a lot better, though much more palatable in retrospect. After all, McCain was NOT a conservative or middle of the road conservative, he was just this side of liberal democrat and we all knew that, too. Now, it falls on those of us who care to salvage the nation in 2012. We must have a candidate who is committed to America, a man who will not turn his back on the flag, and a man who will actually lead in times of crisis. Although I said "man," a qualified woman would fit the bill just as well. Race would not be a factor, but love for this nation of ours is a must.

Who can forget Mrs. Obama's infamous words, "NOW I am proud to be an American!" If Mrs. Obama was NOT proud to be an American BEFORE, WHAT IN GOD'S NAME WAS KEEPING HER IN THIS GREAT NATION all the years BEFORE 2008?!!

I hope all of you will join me in 2012, not necessarily voting for my candidate of choice, but being DAMN SURE we are voting for an AMERICAN, and not only that, but an American WHO IS ALREADY PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN. If a man or woman who seeks the office of PRESIDENT is NOT a PROUD AMERICAN, that let all other PROUD AMERICANS UNITE TO KEEP THAT TRAITOR OUT OF THE HIGHEST OFFICE IN THE LAND!

President Obama

President Barack Obama

It still bewilders me after all this time how such a man was elected.

Hilary Clinton was a terrible choice too. And the McCain/Palin ticket was not appealing at all.

Was Obama the lesser of three evils?

If the choice was either Hilary or Barack, it would have been a very difficult decision. Hilary was obviously a return to the Clinton days, only worse. Obama was the unknown...yet not so unknown. By the end of the 2008 Presidential Campaign Barack Obama had spelled out to the nation and the world exactly what he thought about America, freedom, the rights of the people (White people especially), and the irresponsible way he would handle the federal budget, as well as the inevitable tax hikes.

Now, two years into the Obama Administration, Barack Obama has not kept many of his campaign promises other than constant overspending and the endless barrage of proposed taxes. But, what HAS Obama done?

He has made plain that his loyalties lie with something totally foreign to the American nation, its people, and most importantly, its Constitution. He has made it very clear that he does not have the best interest of American soldiers in his heart. He has thumbed his nose at the American flag and refused to take the Pledge of Allegiance. He has several times turned his back to the flag at the moment that honor was due to the Star Spangled Banner. His wife was heard to say, "NOW I can FINALLY be proud to be American." Perhaps Barack himself held the same sentiment...or maybe even now he is not proud to be an "American" but only proud to be "in charge" of America.

How did this man get elected?

Obviously because someone voted for him, and the Electoral College followed suit. This incredible turn of events was made possible when the media, for whatever reason, "decided" that Hilary was not going to win the election. Then the great idea that America could have its first Black president became the media battle cry, also taken up by not a few well-meaning but clearly ignorant voters.

At the same time there was the media campaign against the Republican candidates, and the fact the many conservatives of all political affiliations did not support conservative candidates who were not...well, conservative. After all, McCain had been, not in the too distant past, a key player on the Democrat side of the aisle.

Nonetheless, how could a man like Barack Obama gain the White House?

He was clearly a muslim sympathizer if not an actual muslim. He clearly stood for the opposite of what most people valued in this nation. In his own words during the campaign, he explained his views of the American flag, the Pledge of Allegiance, and inequalities that needed to be "addressed." He had clearly announced his fiscal policies and foreign policies. His views were shown on all the networks, and they were not favorable for the future of this nation. Many people heard and saw his speeches. Many more read the papers. But, never mind all that, here was the chance to show how "big" we were, how much we had "progressed," and so we were expected to ignore his message and elect Barack Obama because he was BLACK!

Now we are all reaping the just deserts for this terrible mistake; those who voted against him as well as those who voted for him. AND WE ARE GETTING EXACTLY WHAT OBAMA PROMISED!!

(Except a brave and honest leader of this nation)

I implore anyone who reads this and who believes, NOT IN MY RANTINGS, but in what we see and hear, especially from Barack himself, and from his minions in the House and Senate, to VOTE ALL OF THE MINIONS OUT this November. Barack is only as powerful as his allies in the House and Senate.

We have one chance to correct our mistake now, before it is way too late.

Heaven help us if we do not SAVE OUR NATION NOW!!!

Return to the Third Coast

How interesting to go the complete circle, again. I am now residing back in Surfside at the beach house, Some'r Surfin.' Removing myself from the workmans comp business I am now looking into other possibilties as well as getting my writing into high gear. I am sure we will return to West Texas some day, but for now I am very happy at the beach.

One of my goals now that I am back down here is to be a little more prolific as to blogging. I am just about finished with the final editing of Bailey Black, that is before I turn it over to trusted persons to proofread the manuscript. I wonder if a manuscript is a manuscript if it exists only in the virtual world. Anyway, the final product will soon be thrust onto the world. Yes!!

Stay tuned...same time...same channel.

Be there.

I have taken some time away from blogging, maybe I even gave up blogging.  But the recent and terrible murders in Uvalde, and the disgracefu...
